TGFG's journey begins in early 2020 with creator and owner Chef Timothy Shepherd. What started out as a bold idea to build an exciting new food truck brand, quickly grew into a flourishing family business. With his wife (Christey) and daughter (Taylor) as well as many other family and friends supporting and helping to elevate the brand, word about our Not! so basic sliders, delicious tacos, and craveable sandwiches spread quickly. Our fan base spread beyond Wayne county into Macomb, Oakland, Livingston, and Washtenaw counties alike. We are humbled and grateful for all our patrons and appreciate all who visit our food truck. Our story continues as pioneers and leaders of a new and thriving segment in the restaurant industry. Chef Timothy has 30 years of fine dining and catering experience. Chef Timothy began his culinary career with restaurants and hotels, starting at The Early American room in Dearborn, MI.
Chef Timothy learned to be proficient at various culinary techniques such as grilling, broiling, sauteing as well as becoming a leader in food and restaurant management. Chef Timothy found much success during his culinary journey working as a personal chef for Detroit CEO's and also being chef manager for one of the largest food management companies in the country. Chef Timothy takes a lot of pride in providing high-quality entrees and sourcing the freshest ingredients. Chef Timothy is mostly known for his ability to take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. Whether it's at the food truck or catering, Chef Timothy always looks to exceed his customer's expectations with great service and delicious food.
